Loetje Rotterdam on a warm Wednesday evening.
Loetje has been around for almost 40 years. It first opened in Amsterdam zuid and was known for their typical Dutch dishes. Dishes like, Fried eggs, meatballs and their steak. They became famous for their steak and all the different varieties they came in. They started opening more and more restaurants around Amsterdam and other cities nearby Amsterdam. But now finally they also opened a new restaurant in Rotterdam! > Loetje Rotterdam < The new restaurant is located at the “Kop van Zuid” just around the corner of Hotel New York. The Terrace has a gorgeous view up on Katendrecht.
The staff at Loetje is always very kind and times time it was no exception. Rose and I both choose the burger with some fries and a very good white wine. Okay I know white wine isn’t really the drink you would expect combined with burgers but it was warm and I just love white wine. The burger was really good and came with a lot of vegetables and two different sauces. The meat was perfectly cooked and just done which gave it a really full flavour and it went very well combined with the full body white wine that we had. *We had the Torres white wine. One of my favourite wine houses.
Although we couldn’t finish two burgers and one fries we did have some room left for a dessert. ‘’smug face’’. For dessert I had a cheesecake that came with ice cream. Rose had an incredible chocolate brownie tower of a cake. Both desserts were delicious! So we might have had a bit too much but sometimes it’s worth it and you need to try out new things. Loetje is definitely a place where we will be more often this summer. And I think when you will go for lunch you will sit in the sun on the terrace for quite a while. And of course we have to get back for steak! Go check out Loetje and here are some pictures and more info, cheers Bob.
